I’ve written and published 29 blog posts in 29 days. Before this month, I felt that it would be hard to come up with so many ideas to write about. Inspiration seems to come so infrequently. Though after writing each day for a few weeks, I noticed that when I forced myself to just write, I began getting new ideas all the time.
In Mark Manson’s book he talks about how we assume that action follows inspiration, and then we spend forever waiting for inspiration. We think we must wait for inspiration to create something when it can be the other way around. Each day I wrote this month, I came up with more ideas. Each day I knew I would at some point write a new post, my mind seemed to search for ideas constantly throughout that day. I started getting inspired all the time.
From taking action and writing a new blog post each day this month, I ended up having so many moments when I dropped what I was doing and ran to write down a new idea. I’ve never felt inspired so much in one month. Instead of waiting for inspiration to write, the act of writing inspired me. Inspiration shows up when you show up. It’s as simple as that.
